Senior Mobile Application Engineer (Flutter)

The Senior Mobile Application Engineer will own the development, enhancement, and ongoing support of our cross-platform (Flutter) mobile application for a rapidly growing digital platform. While Flutter is the core framework, a strong background in native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) development is highly preferred to bridge, optimize, and scale the application effectively.
This is a hands-on role requiring an engineer capable of diving into an existing codebase, mastering the current architecture and integrations, and driving the application to production readiness. You will collaborate closely with backend engineers, architects, product stakeholders, and QA to deliver a scalable, secure, and premium mobile experience across both platforms.

 Key Responsibilities
Core Development & Native Optimization
•Codebase Ownership: Own the existing Flutter mobile application and accelerate its development toward a production-ready release.
•Feature Delivery: Implement high-quality features, enhancements, and bug fixes aligned with product priorities.
•Cross-Platform & Native Integration: Ensure responsive, consistent user experiences across iOS and Android. Leverage native platform experience to troubleshoot OS-specific behaviors or build custom native bridges when required.
•API Integration: Connect mobile functionality seamlessly with existing backend RESTful APIs, handling authentication, authorization, and data synchronization.
•Code Excellence: Maintain rigorous standards for code quality, performance, maintainability, and security.

Architecture & Engineering
•Architectural Alignment: Work within and improve existing design patterns, utilizing proper state management, logging, error handling, and offline capabilities.

Refactoring: Optimize and refactor existing code to boost application speed, responsiveness, and longterm maintainability.
•Technical Insights: Contribute to technical design decisions, providing recommendations on where crossplatform native integrations or native plugins make the most sense.

Quality, Collaboration & Release
•Lifecycle Management: Support application deployment and release readiness activities, ensuring smooth submission to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
•Cross-Functional Teamwork: Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical reviews alongside product owners, architects, UI/UX designers, and QA.
•Mentorship & Estimation: Provide accurate effort estimates, contribute to technical solution reviews, and mentor junior developers as the team expands.

Mobile Development & Platforms
•Core Frameworks: Flutter & Dart (Mandatory)
•Native Ecosystems: Android & iOS (Native development experience highly preferred)
API & Integrations
•Protocols: REST APIs, JSON, HTTP-based integrations
•Services: Push notifications, mobile service integrations, and authentication protocols.

Mobile Architecture
•State Management: BLoC, Provider, Riverpod, or similar
•Patterns: Clean Architecture principles, MVVM, or similar design patterns
Development Tools
•Version Control & PM: Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or Jira
•Testing: Postman
Required Qualifications
•5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
•3+ years of hands-on, production-level Flutter development experience.
